Our weather in the upper left has been bipolar this year.  Like every other year, it seems for every glamfabsunny day we have, we have 5 more torrential downpours; but this year the moderate not-so-offensive gray days spanning the middle of the spectrum have been notably absent.  Either it’s nice, or it’s most decidedly not.

That’s meant rescheduled shoot after rescheduled shoot after rescheduled ice cream cake (you may recall, i loff cake) for us this year, and so all last week we were obsessive-compulsively watching the weather forecasts from 53 different sources to see if we might actually get a chance to hang in the sun for a change.  All the way up to Saturday morning, all sources called for rain…

…so of course, it was one of the nicest Saturdays we’ve had in a looonnnggg while.

Meet Shannon+Kevin.  They’re a great example of why we love to shoot love.  Calm, easy, and sure in each other’s presence.  They’re your friends you see frequently, and the ones that bring a smile to your face when you think of them together.  We had so much fun with them (and you don’t have to take my word for it — the wifey will be posting her own take once blogger’s done with its system maintenance), and with couples like these, who needs too many nice days?  Love — it’s like your summer’s day in May.

And what set would be complete without a slideshow?  More pictures!  Video below, or click over to our Vimeo page for some HD Shannon+Kevin action!

Cheers! — Shannon+Kevin, we can’t wait for your big day!

Over the weekend we celebrated the end of my vacation by revisiting the Wai+Tats set.  These kids are so delicious, we just had to serve them with dinner music.

Enjoy Wats!

It’s almost wedding-time for Karen+Josh, and Cindi and I couldn’t be more excited — to bask in their lurrve, partay, and yes, shoot us some more photos.  Does that sound selfish?  I assure you it’s not.  Being around their love is like soaking in swelling glee, and it’d be a crime to not try to capture it.  Speaking of which, allow me to share more photos from their recent shoot — in slideshow form!

Slideshow here, currently in standard definition… but come back later in the week and we’ll have it in superdelicioushighdef!

You know those people that you don’t know, but you do?  I think I first met Karen almost a year ago, toward the end of the summer.  We ever-so-briefly worked not-quite-together-but-within-the-vicinity-of-each-other on a project, where we traded jokes, war stories, art projects, wedding plans.  Yes, wedding plans.  The wifey and I were nearing the end of our wedding planning, and Karen+Josh had just begun theirs.

Those of you that know me (or don’t know me) know (or don’t know) that I rarely share such personal details so readily — but Karen is just so gosh darned easy to talk to.  Dangerous.

A few months later, we crossed paths at an event, where I met Josh for the first time.  And the Mrs. met them both.  It was love at first sight.  These crazy kids are just so fun, and the world needs more of people like them.  But only if they’d hang with C+C on the regular.

in typical seattle fashion, this day started at a coffee shop. a coffee shop of luuurrvee. or coffee. perhaps just coffee.
